Established in 1957 as United Fine Art Lithographers, the company started production of import substitute fancy paper and board in India. In 1962, major investments and expansion prompted a change of name to ‘Modern Paper Industries’. The new name reflected our pioneering effort of introducing the process of water-based colour coating of paper in India. Over time, the company gained popularity as ‘MPI’, which led to our present name of MPI Papers Pvt. Ltd. The capacity to produce innovative colours and finishes and the ability to adapt to our customers’ specific needs has given us an edge in the market.
